My top three pet peeves…hmmm, let me narrow them down to three LOL!
In no particular order….
Lack of fact checking on social media. Ugh, it makes me see red when people share things online that are false, scams, or inaccurate. Anything from fake political or social issues to bogus missing kids or pets to nonsensical memes, I get unbelievable irritated when people share these things without using critical thinking skills or doing a little bit of fact finding or checking before sharing. It makes me want to tell people that they shouldn’t use social media if they can’t use it responsibly or knowledgeably, even though I know that’s not fair. But it seems that people just can’t seem to help themselves and they share anything regardless of knowing whether or not it’s true or real. Grrr.
Chewing noises. As I have gotten older, my tolerance level for this has decreased. I need plenty of background noise when I am in a room with someone else who’s eating because I cannot abide the sound of the chewing. I am very self-conscious of my own eating for fear of making someone else annoyed. The whole thing is irrational, I know, but for some reason, I just can’t stand the sound.
“Alot”. I put on my judgy pants when I see this. I can pretty well tolerate most other misspellings, but this one gets me. I don’t know why. Right behind it is “its’ “. Maybe because these just aren’t even words. And in this day and age where everything is spell checked and/or auto-corrected, there’s no good reason for why anyone should type either of those “words”.
Okay, done complaining. Anyone else annoyed by the same things?

Lol! Agree on the chewing, and the worst is “washing machine mouth” chewing…blecch. Alot and its for sure, but also they’re their there 😂
